Meet the Aegis Team

Rob was the founder of Aegis Fiduciary Services, LLC, the predecessor to Aegis Trust Company (“Aegis”). He serves as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Aegis and is a member of the Aegis ESOP Fiduciary Committee. Rob also leads the Aegis legal transaction team.

Rob has been practicing law for over 40 years. For 30+ years, he has focused his practice on representing company sponsors and institutional trustees of ESOPs. During that time, he has participated in over 500+ ESOP transactions. Because of his experience defending trustees before the Department of Labor (DOL), Rob fully understands the processes the DOL requires ESOP trustees to follow in exercising their fiduciary duties. Specifically, Rob played a key role in negotiating and developing with the Department of Labor the “Sierra Aluminum Guidelines”, the protocols to which all ESOP trustees should adhere.

Rob received his BA in Humanistic Studies from Johns Hopkins University and his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice law in Georgia, New Hampshire and New York.

Julie serves as Aegis’s Chief Operating Officer responsible for running Aegis’s day-to-day operations. She oversees Aegis’s ESOP, personal trust, and wealth management divisions and manages human resources. She has participated in approximately 150 ESOP transactions over the past 16 years. Julie serves on Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee. She is a member of The ESOP Association and serves as a committee member for the Southeast Chapter.

Alfredo J. Perez is an attorney licensed to practice law in Florida. He is General Counsel for Aegis and participates in the negotiation and implementation of ESOPs for our clients. He also serves on Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee. He founded the Law Offices of Alfredo J. Perez, P.A., where he had a distinguished career as a litigator.

Alfred is admitted to practice in all Florida courts as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the United States District Court/Southern District of Florida. He also has been a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Cuban American Bar Association, and the Dade County Bar Association.

Donald is a Certified Public Accountant and partner of Seligson & Giannattasio, LLP. His experience includes audit and forensic services, business consulting, corporate and individual tax planning, estate planning, and financial planning. In addition to his CPA credentials, Donald earned a Series 66 Certification. Donald serves as Chief Operating Officer at Aegis, managing its financial operations, overseeing and financial planning. He also is responsible for developing financial strategies that align with Aegis’s business objectives.

Jeremy serves as Senior Vice President, Director of Business Development and leads Aegis’s legal due diligence team for all of its ESOP transactions.

Jeremy has nearly 15 years of experience in transactional M&A, finance, and business transactions, including extensive expertise in ESOP transactions—having participated in over 150 ESOP deals throughout his career. Jeremy previously served as Aegis’s ESOP General Counsel for seven years and was a member of Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee before he transitioned to his current role. Before joining Aegis, he provided legal counsel to multiple companies, advising on a wide range of corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters.

Jeremy obtained his BA from the University of Miami and his JD from the George Washington University School of Law. He is currently admitted to practice in the states of California, New Hampshire, and the District of Columbia.

Susan serves as Aegis’s Chief Compliance Officer. She is responsible for ensuring that Aegis adheres to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards of the New Hampshire Banking Department.

Susan also acts as a key advisor to Aegis’s Senior management team to ensure that all new business strategies and product launches adhere to her compliance strategies. She also focuses on mitigating Aegis’s legal risks.

Susan has an extensive background in the creation and implementation of audit programs for all facets of retail operations. Susan’s background includes working as a regional loss prevention manager, with a focus on developing, implementing, training and enforcing procedures to reduce inventory shortages. Susan has a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University and a Certificate from Meredith’s Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Program.

Susan is a Senior Vice President and Director of Trust Operations for Aegis. Susan is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in retirement plan trust administration. Before joining Aegis in 2018, she held Vice President positions at several institutional trustees. Susan manages trust administration, including plan conversion, onboarding new plans, and providing expertise to clients on plan administration. She collaborates with plan record keepers and auditors, conducts annual trust accountings, and produces certified trust statements.

Susan holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, is a Certified Retirement Services Professional, and has completed the ASPPA Employee Stock Ownership Plan Administration Course. She is a member of both the NCEO and TEA.

Virginia (Ginny) serves as Senior Vice President, Director of Trust Services, and Wealth Planning Services. In that role, she leads the strategic management of client assets that are held in trust and is tasked with acting in the best interest of trust beneficiaries. Ginny also leads Aegis’s wealth planning division that develops comprehensive financial strategies for Aegis’s high net worth clients.

Ginny has 35 years of experience in institutional retirement services and consulting and previously spent 24 years as an institutional corporate trustee. Ginny serves on Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee.

Ginny holds a Bachelor of Science - Finance degree from the University of Delaware and is a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership.  She has also held a membership in the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries.

Laura is a Senior Vice President Director of Valuations at Aegis. She leads the valuation team, which is responsible for working with Aegis’s outside valuation firms to determine the fair market value of stock on behalf of ESOP clients. Laura also serves on Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee.

Laura started her career with a regional accounting firm. She has extensive experience valuing both privately-held entities as well as publicly-traded companies as a portfolio analyst in the hedge fund industry. Most recently, she started and sold a business in the portable storage industry.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science-Finance degree from the University of Maine.

Brandon is a valuation and transaction professional with extensive experience in ESOPs, accounting, and business valuation. He has been a CPA since 2011 and is licensed in both Virginia and Oregon. He is also a CFA charterholder and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential.

Before joining Aegis, Brandon spent nearly five years with a sell-side ESOP advisory firm, providing valuation and transaction support to companies across diverse industries. He previously owned and operated an independent valuation practice and later joined a regional accounting firm’s valuation group.

Brandon earned his Master of Accounting and dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Finance from Virginia Tech. He serves on the board of the Central Virginia Employee Benefits Council.

Alex has over 10 years of valuation experience, including substantial involvement in ESOP transactions and the subsequent annual valuations. Prior to joining Aegis, Alex worked for a regional CPA firm, where he helped lead the firm’s ESOP advisory practice and was instrumental in launching a feasibility analysis service offering. Additionally, he performed valuations for personal trust and estate purposes and provided expert witness services in commercial litigation. Earlier in his career, he worked at a leading ESOP valuation firm, performing valuations for employee-owned companies in multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, and professional services.

Alex is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and holds the Certified Valuation Analyst credential from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Liberty University and a master’s degree in accounting from Southern Polytechnic State University.

Raegan supports Aegis's internal valuation team, helping ensure that ESOP transactions are completed at fair market value in accordance with ERISA fiduciary standards. Her work includes financial analysis, monitoring portfolio companies for performance and industry trends, and supporting quality control across the valuation process. She also works closely with Aegis's client relationship team to provide analytical support for ESOP clients.

Prior to joining Aegis, Raegan interned with a valuation advisory firm in Atlanta, where she gained experience in ESOP valuations. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Missouri State University in 2026.

As Aegis’s VP of Marketing, Ellen oversees all marketing initiatives and works to enhance the company's brand visibility. She is responsible for business development and the day-to-day marketing operations to meet strategic objectives. Before joining Aegis, she worked in business development for an acquisitions and divestitures consulting firm. Ellen serves on Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee.

Ellen previously served as a Senior Producer on a solutions-driven fully branded entertainment national talk show. She was responsible for identifying appropriate partners for content development and brand integration within the programming calendar.

Peter brings 20 plus years of financial services experience working with wealth management client relationships and retirement services.  He has focused in working with high net individuals and providing investment, portfolio, operational and trust administration support for institutional and private investment advisers.

As a Senior Trust Officer, Peter is responsible for managing and administering trusts in accordance with legal, fiduciary obligations and client directives.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Boston College.

David has over 25 years of experience in the retirement plan industry. Skilled in retirement plan administration, design, consulting, and compliance, he works with plan sponsors and business partners to deliver exceptional client service.

David has held positions with several financial services firms including bank trust organizations and insurance companies providing institutional corporate trustee, custodial, investment management, and recordkeeping services. In addition to 401(k) plans, defined contribution plans, defined benefit pension plans, and ESOPs, he has experience working in human resources and benefit administration firms handling many types of employee benefit plans.

David holds a BBA in Business Management from Athens State University. He earned the Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP) designation from The Institute of Certified Bankers and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation from Fi360. He has also completed the Employee Stock Ownership Plan Administration (ESOP-A) Course through the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

Erik is a Compliance Officer and assists Aegis’s Chief Compliance Officer in the periodic risk assessments to mitigate legal and reputational risk. He plays a key role in Aegis’s adherence with the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act.

Erik also services as a Trust Administrator, for Aegis where he is responsible for managing and administering trusts in accordance with legal and fiduciary obligations. He has 30 years of experience as a financial regulator in California’s gambling industry. His experience includes large international background investigations and compliance in a highly regulated environment. Eric serves on Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee.

Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University. He is a Certified Trust Administrator and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Erik has built a career uncovering financial misconduct and ensuring fiscal transparency across the gaming industry in California.

Gwen services as a Senior Trust Administrator for Aegis. Among other things, Gwen is responsible for ensuring ESOP plan sponsors make their contributions, dividends and distributions and that the ESOP clients make required loan payments if the ESOP has borrowed money to purchase employee securities.

Before joining Aegis in 2024, Gwendolyn held Vice President positions at several large institutional firms. She has over 25 years of experience working in the financial services industry with a major focus in trust and custody administration and client servicing. 

Gwendolyn holds a BS in Business Administration from American International College. She joins the Trust Administration team with Aegis and brings her background in client service, trust accounting, plan conversions and knowledge of working with various stakeholders.

As Chief Technology Officer at Aegis Trust, Marcos brings a unique blend of financial expertise and technological leadership to drive innovation and operational efficiency.  With a strong foundation in finance, he transitioned into technology, setting up and maintaining the IT systems for many companies in various industries while working for Seligson & Giannattasio, LLP.  Mr. Orozco has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. As CTO for Aegis Trust, he will focus on building and improving secure systems to help the company grow and stay ahead in a digital world.

Lena is a Client Relationship Manager for Aegis’s clients located throughout the country. She serves as the primary contact for Aegis’s ESOP clients. She assists other Aegis professionals in fulfilling Aegis’s fiduciary duties. Lena also is a member of Aegis’s ESOP Fiduciary Committee.

Lena received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Georgia Southern University in 2023.

Kristina is a Trust Officer at Aegis. Kristina has over 25 years experience in the area of corporate finance and operations. Before joining Aegis, she held a position as the controller of a multi-location retail business for 10 years. Prior to that, she spent 16 years in the role of a senior buyer. Kristina brings a valuable employer-based perspective to the Trust Administration team with her accounting, customer service, and human resources background.

With over two decades of experience in the consumer products industry, Narciso has developed a strong track record in both B2B and B2C sales, as well as in comprehensive account management. He has been recognized for his ability to drive significant revenue growth, broaden market share, and foster lasting partnerships with customers. Narciso is passionate about finding innovative strategies that benefit all parties and contribute to long-term success.

Dennis has over 30 years of experience in customer service and management. Prior to joining Aegis, Dennis served as dispatch manager for a wholesale glass distributor for 15 years.

At Aegis, Dennis provides support services for the Aegis legal due diligence team in connection with ESOP transactions. He is responsible for reviewing and analyzing corporate data of plan sponsors as they transition to employee ownership.

Wolfgang is a transaction specialist at Aegis, and a member of its legal due diligence team. Wolfgang assists the Aegis legal team in organizing legal data of companies that have chosen Aegis as its ESOP trustee. Wolfgang has over 15 years’ experience in customer service involving the management of multiple companies. He also formerly served as lead supervisor for a multiple crew construction company. Prior to joining Aegis, Wolfgang worked for three years providing customer service support for an ESOP-owned company.

Gina is the Administrative Assistant to Aegis’s General Counsel. She also assists with legal due diligence for various ESOP transactions. She previously worked at a law firm for over 20 years serving as an administrative assistant and a paralegal.

Linda Williams is the Executive Assistant to Aegis’s CEO. She brings a wealth of experience in corporate law, particularly in the due diligence effort and transaction closings. With over 20 years of combined experience in various legal roles, Linda’s expertise makes her a valuable asset to the Aegis team in providing comprehensive support to clients in ensuring timely closings. Prior to joining Aegis, she worked more than ten years with a global manufacturing company providing support and compliance guidance in the area of marketing.

Jaida is a client relationship specialist, providing assistance to Aegis’s client relationship managers. She also provides support to Aegis’s legal team.

She attended Georgia State University studying Business Administration.

Danielle is an Executive Assistant to Aegis’s Chief Operating Officer and office manager for Aegis’s Georgia office.

Prior to joining Aegis, Danielle owned a bakery for ten years and was a bank manager for over twenty. Danielle also attended Manor College for Early Childhood Education in 1993.

Savannah Walker is a third-year law student at Mercer University School of Law and serves as an intern with Aegis, assisting Aegis's attorneys with legal due diligence and the review of ESOP transaction documents.
